Study Programme Profile

International
Our students come from all over the world. With us, you can study in English in a very international environment.

Diverse range of courses
The choice of different design projects is the core of our diverse range of courses.
You can put together your studies individually from the areas of digital applications (for example websites or apps), artificial intelligence, design for print (e.g. editorials, books), corporate design, typography, photography or illustration.

Interdisciplinary
Our focus is on interdisciplinarity and innovation.
In concrete terms, this means that project-based collaboration with students from other degree programs is possible and even desirable.

Well-equipped workshops
The range of workshops extends from screen printing (including letterpress and gravure printing) to a photo studio equipped with the latest technology, a well-equipped digital printing studio and the
FabLab (innovation lab).

Future orientated
We deal with future-oriented technologies and are curious about the world of tomorrow. We pursue a practice-oriented training approach and prepare you for your future work in media, design and advertising agencies or as a freelance designer in the best possible way.

Familiar atmosphere
We supervise students individually and teach in small groups. The atmosphere on the campus is informal.

Technical Equipment

Photo Studio
In our professionally equipped photo studio you will find everything you need to give free rein to your creative ideas. From people and fashion to object or experimental photography - almost anything is possible.

Mac Pools
Develop, design or learn digitally - you have the opportunity to do so in our Macpools. If these are not being used for lectures or courses, you can use them freely for your projects and ideas.

FabLab
Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the zdi Center Kamp-Lintfort have adapted the concept of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which is networked worldwide: the FabLab ↗. Here you will find a large number of 3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutters and the like.

Digital Printing Workshop
Under expert guidance, you have the opportunity to print your work in optimum quality and up to a size of DIN A0 in our digital printing workshop. One of our highlights is certainly our UV printer, with which you can print and personalize almost any object. Even large brochures or magazines can be produced in perfect quality.

Screen printing workshop
Produce your own works such as posters, magazines or books. After the digital preparatory work, the final production process follows here with numerous other creative possibilities such as different papers, printing on Plexiglas, wood or metal, different types of binding for books or a wide variety of lead fonts.
